Venice Woman, 33, Arrested on Hit-and-Run Charge After Fatal Collision
A 33-year-old Venice woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal hit-and-run early Friday at the intersection of Venice and Lincoln boulevards that killed a 33-year-old man, authorities said Monday.
Kara Kiehle was arrested by Los Angeles Police Department officers Friday afternoon after police received an anonymous tip.
“We went out and located the vehicle and the suspect,” said Detective B. Johnson of the LAPD’s West Traffic Division.
Kiehle was booked on a felony charge of hit-and-run.
The identity of the man who was killed remained withheld Monday pending notification of next of kin, said Lt. Fred Corral of the investigation unit of the Los Angeles Country Coroner’s office.
Investigators have not been able to find a home address for the man, Corral said.
An autopsy conducted Sunday found the man died of multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death was ruled as accidental, Corral said.
Kiehle was due in court Oct. 18, according to information on the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s website.
